It is located in the skirts of Sierra of Ávila. The municipal term has an extension of 15'45 km2 and a population in 2005 according to INE of 100 inhabitants (59 men and 41 women) and it is located 1196 m. of altitude with regard to the half level of the sea.
The main characteristic is the remains of a town vettón, of the Celtic culture, of approximately the centuries VI to II AC. At the present time this town, of 30 hectares of extension, it has been rehabilitated for the visit of the whole public that he/she wants to see some of the archaeological most important remains in the region

The local parties are two: San Martin, boss of the town that is the day November 11 but he/she usually takes place in next weekend to that date, and, San Pedro, June 29, with celebration accommodated in the date the same as the previous one. In spite of their scarce concurrence due to causes in those that don't enter, the celebration of both parties is moving for those that "children of the town" feel, and their main acts are the Saint's Procession for the streets accompanied by the redoublings of the percussion and the mixture of serious and sharp of the saxophone and the trumpet, and the popular night verbena that it is usually livened up by modern groups........
