Almáchar rises on a small hill between the rivers of Borge and Almácar, in the heart of the labyrinthine landscape of the Mounts of AxarquĂa. Surrounded of vineyards, olive trees and cereals, it extends their lands for the basin of the river Almáchar from the hill of the same name to the north (334 m.) until the pick Vallejo (609 m.) to the south.
In the landscape of these mounts they stand out the work houses with the typical paseros where you solean the grapes to transform into raisins, as well as the small orchards that extend for the riversides of the rivers and they ascend in patches of vegetables, citric and fruit-bearing until the same border of the town. The one that one obtains from the square of the town in address to the population of Borge is among the most prominent panoramics.
