Description
The municipal term of Acebeda is located to the north of the county of Madrid, in the center of the mountain range of Somosierra, next to the port of Acebeda (1.686 m.)
The grasslands and pastizales prevail that occupy half of their surface, followed by the forest lands populated by pines, ash-trees and oaks.
The whole territory is crossed for streams that, coming from the estribaciones of Somosierra, they flush in the river Madarquillos. One of them, the call Acebedo or Of the Meadow, it crosses the town (now channeled and I hide) and it flows in a continuous source, embedded to the facade of the Church.
Among the cattle numerous roads that travel the municipal term, Real Cañada highlights Segoviana that crosses the town and Sierra of Guadarrama crosses, on the way to Segovia, through the Port of Acebeda.
