The toponym could have a Celtic origin, meaning the prefix "bra", "trash of trees." The first establishment of Braojos, not documented until the Half Age, it was carried out by shepherds and around him they were organized small terraces of cultivations being the rest of the territory dedicated to communal grass. The interior of the nucleus presented a dispersed disposition, combining housings with barns and blocks and open spaces for the cultivation.
