Description
The vila d'Almenar is troba esglosada in a petit turó. To the cim of the turó hi there is l'antic castell arrabassat the 1094 als musulmans of Lleida pel Comte Ermengol V d'Urgell i conquerit definitivament the 1147 pel Comte of Barcelona Ramón Berenguer IV, the qual two anys després, I granted població letter to a hundred of balaguerins.
Parochial L'esglĂ©sia of Santa MarĂa, gòtica i d'una single nau, reformed fou the XVIII segle in that fou construĂŻt, to mĂ©s, the campanar (1740).
Dins the terme municipal hom has trobat you subtract arqueològiques of bronze l'edat i of the ferro (tossal of Metxut, turĂł of Sant Salvador), d'un camp d'urnes to the departure of Tudela i of vile romanes to the pla of Sot i to the pont of Ferrando. Santa MarĂa's d'Almenar (or toast of Santa MarĂa) municipi comprèn l'antic terme i the caseriu of Bassa Nova.

Description
One of the most exceptional testimonies in this term constitutes it the paintings prehistoric rupestres of Tallat of them Aparets I-IV. Discovered in 1976 by Enric Sunyer, Antoni Borrell and the collaboration of LluĂs Trepat, is integrated in the acquaintance as schematic Art, an expression creencial of the producing neolithic groups (6.5000-3.200 years before the present) it presents in good part of the Catalan territory: Bellver of Cerdaña, Trough of Segre, You of Balaguer, Albi, Cogul, etc. Based in the abstraction: points, bars, stains, etc, the friezes of this term are a singular and valuable sample of the intellectual human capacity; with the result that from 1998 UNESCO has considered them Patrimony of the Humanity. The absence of some protection type, and the general ignorance, like it happens with 88,45% of the art prehistoric rupestre of LĂ©rida, it is a constant danger for their conservation..........

Description
Up to 1147 it was low the domain sarraceno to pass later to be part of the county of Urgel. It was granted him/her population's letter in 1174 for order of Ermengol VI of Urgel on behalf of the king Alfonso the Chaste one. An old nucleus also called Alpicat very near LĂ©rida existed. To distinguish one of other the new town he/she received the name of Vilanova of Alpicat. In 1228 it passed to depend directly on LĂ©rida.
During Guerra of the Harvesters the town was practically uninhabited although the neighbors returned when concluding the conflict. Again it was deforested soon after Guerra of Succession. The Ordinances of New Plant allowed him to be constituted as independent municipality with own city council

High Aneu (in Catalan and officially Alt Àneu) is a Spanish municipality, in Catalonia, in the County of Lérida, in the district of Pallars Sobirá. Description
Not they are remains of the castle neither of the primitive church. The parochial current church is dedicated to San Pablo of Narbona and it is believed that it was built in the same place in which was the original one. It is of the XV century, of unique ship, with lateral chapels and choir. The cover is composed by a combination of crucerĂa vaults and of edge beside canyon vaults. This mixture of styles is present in other Catalan buildings of the XV century. The steeple, of square plant, it is embedded to the walls. The superior part is closed with a balustrade.
To each one of the sides of the entrance door, they are two images of the románico that represent San Pedro and San Pablo. Both are dated in the XII century and they are work of Ramón of Bianya. In the XIV century, it was added to the church a stone altarpiece dedicated to the Virgin that is conserved in a museum of Boston. In the temple he/she can an altarpiece of the XV century dedicated to Santa Ana also turns......

Description
Arrés is an interesting place with an incredible environment. There there was a hospital of pilgrims, there is a church and they are three or four fixed families.
It exists, for some years an Association of Friends of Arrés integrated by several foreigners and Spaniards. Some of the first in to settle there and to rehabilitate one of the houses were a British professor. From then on they have left installing several families of French, a soriana...

On the same town they are the remains of the old castle of Ars, the ruins of which you/they are known with the name of the Dry one. In the same valley of Sant Joan is the church of Santa Agnès that was possibly the old parish of "Farrera dels Llops", village deforested today. Of here he/she comes, because, that of the Dry one, Meca and the Valley of Andorra, in passing toward the Principality. Returning to Ars is necessary to stress above all their church....

The portalada is formed by three arquivueltas and he/she has annex a steeple of square plant that was built with posteriority. To the sides of the ship diverse chapels open up, also built in a later period. The temple was reconstructed using stones coming from another temple that was dedicated Sant Miquel and of the one that you/they are only the foundations.
Of the old castle that was property of the family Cadell in the XII and XIII centuries they are only in foot some remains of the walls that have been integrated inside the urban nucleus.
Arsèguel celebrates its bigger party in the month of August. From 1976 and during the month of July he/she takes place an encounter of accordionists of Pirineo. The success of this encounter made that in 1988 the Museum of the Accordion was founded where copies of this instrument are exposed showing its history....
