Description
Cervera of the River Alhama personnel town of the rioja paginates.Ceramic remains and stone axes already attest the man's presence in lands cerveranas from the Neolithic period. Some walls of the castle, accuse the Roman time.
The Arabs come to Cervera and they reinforce the old castle. In the year 1117, Cervera is liberated by the Christian troops. The king Alfonso I (of Aragon) grants him/her the Jurisdictions of Sobrarbe, like to the Navarrese neighboring town of Tudela. Later on, Cervera, passes to depend on the Kingdom of Castile.
The population with their castle fué given by Enrique II to Beltrán DuguesclÃn and this gives it to Juan RamÃrez of Arellano, Mister of Cameros.
In the war of The Independence the French take the town, burning the municipal files and they have the Castle like General barracks.

It is among Cuzcurrita I Laugh Tug and Miranda of Ebro, to 9 Km. of Haro and to 55 Km. of Logroño.Their name comes from Arab "Sagga Zahar" that means "Lagoon of Flores." The first document dates of 1099 in the Jurisdiction of Miranda of Ebro with the denomination of it "Cuts." In 1146 in Alfonso's concession VII of the jurisdiction to Cherry tree of River Tug, he/she already appears with their current name. The first documental mention of the village dates of 1.052, year in that Don GarcÃa that of Nájera donates to Santa MarÃa's monastery Real "Sanctum Salvarorem of Ascensio cum bus suis pertinentiis." In their work "History of San Millán", Sandoval includes a privilege given by Sancho the Brave one in 1096 where the adjournment of the town appears from Davalillo to San Asensio. But this news doesn't seem certain completely, since, although indeed that adjournment was decreed, or many of its neighbors continued living in Davalillo, or San Asensio he/she called himself during some time Davalillo, because in Cortés of Burgos 1315 Martin figures Pérez like attorney of Davalillo. In the same way, in 1358 they meet in Haro the town councils of different towns of Rioja to regulate a fraternity of mutual defense against the irregularities originated by the successoral many cases, the bands of thieves and the border affrays; in the document acreditativo it is said that the representatives of Davalillo attended, but it is not mentioned to those of San Asensio.
