Albelda figures in the testament granted by the queen Doña EstefanÃa, widow of GarcÃa IV that of Nájera, and next to Viguera, it was donated by that to its son Sancho that of Peñalén toward 1066. It is of rectangular (17,50 m. x 12,50 m.) plant, built with seat walls, macizados with morrilo, of 2,50 m. of grosor. The conservation state is very faulty because to the being reutilizada for housings has disappeared the adornment of external seat of the walls completely AND. and S. and they are some vestiges in the other ones two (N. and W.). The wall N. it conserves their original structure in almost all their height, being able to still turns holes and a loophole. The rest of the walls has been strongly modified in its apparel by the use of diverse (brick, adobe, concrete) materials and for the opening of diverse vain in its three heights.
