Zaldierna is a village of Rioja (Spain), in the vicinities of Ezcaray. It is located in the valley of Oja, next to the ravine of Cilbarna and crossed by the river ZumbullĂłn, and it is believed that their first inhabitants arrived in the century X or XI century.

The first documental mentions of the town date of the XI century. Sandoval, in his "History of the Monastery of San Millán", picks up a diploma for the one that the king of Nájera, Sancho III the Adult (1000 - 1035) it grants the dominion from the place of Sucker to the Monastery of San Millán the year of 1020.
