Description
Formerly, Piedrahita of Castro was compound for two barriosm that of Piedrahita and that of Pajarones, this last administratively belonged to the town of Barns of Lampreana.
The church of the Virgin's Asunción is its stellar monument. In the Cruise he/she is the altarpiece of Rosario's Virgin whose architecture, divided in three streets, points to the second half of the XVII century. The central niche welcomes a Virgin of dressing decimonónica. An altarpiece body rococó and unique street compose the loft a small oval that preludÃa neoclassical outlines. In the presbytery, the biggest, golden altarpiece, organizes its main body with columns and elaborate estipetes of small size, decoration that, together with the angelitos, it recovers the whole architecture. Among the pieces of the interior a Crucified Christ highlights, of 1,60 meters, of the XIV-XV century.
