Description
The name of the town is believed that he/she comes him/her for its location.
The nucleus is seated in a hill in the fork of two streams: (Horcajo) and to their lands that constitute you abut mediators with those of the county of Avila: (Mediator)
The municipality is formed by 7 entities and it belongs to the judicial party of Salamanca and the unions of: Waters of Sta. Teresa and High Tormes that are in charge of of different competitions ,
The lands of Horcajo are to more than a thousand meters of altitude (1008 m. in the Square). They are of unirrigated land. Their people live off the agriculture, cattle raising and services. He/she has a cattle small cabin: Bovine, swinish and ovino. Small orchards, very few at the present time, they supply to their people of vegetables and season vegetables.
