Navalafuente exists as independent municipality from 1734, it dates in the one that got its autonomy of Bustarviejo, until then its history was bound to this municipality.
According to the tradition, he/she was born in the XII century thanks to the shepherds that grazed their flocks, where they were raised with the abundant and rich grass that produced their mounts during the summer. The first marry they got up around the source that fed the Dale, giving the name to the town.
During the Half Age, the municipality belonged to Bustarviejo and this to Sexmo of Lozoya, which was surrounded of possessions of the Duke of Infantado, as the Dominion of Buitrago and the Real of Orchards. During the XIV and XVI centuries it was absent in the History, existing fights to maintain the boundaries and the rights in passing and I pasture that the neighbors of Miraflores, Canencia and Cabanillas claimed, obtaining a sentence from the favorable graduated Aerie to Bustarviejo.
