Description
This area understood between Jarama and the Hayfields, two of the most important rivers in the county of Madrid, join two differentiated districts: to old Alfoz of Talamanca (Talamanca of Jarama, Valdetorres of Jarama, Ribatejada, etc.) and Alcarria from Madrid (Alcalá of Hayfields, Ajalvir, Camarma of Esteruelas, Daganzo, etc.).
The geologic study allows to be the origin of these lands in Quaternary Diluvial during which you/they were formed big terraces on the edge of the rivers of sands, songs and slimes. In times interglaciares the terraces were modifying, belonging to these moments the remains found by the paleontologists in the area (in Alcalá of Hayfields and Torrejón of Ardoz remains of female elephants, rhinoceroses, reptiles and small mammals and even shells of mollusks that accuse that in some of their episodes this area was covered for the sea).
