Description
In an it escarps rocky of Sierra of the Gold, in what the popular voice denominates Hill of Castle, he/she is mythical Siyasa, the location that preceded current Cieza until final of the XV century.Populated from the Paleolithic one, the area of Cieza is privileged as for archaeological locations as those of Almadenes, Serreta, and the Ravine of the Rooks.
It even exists a town Ãbero (Bolvax), Roman vestiges, Visigoths and Arabs.
The Arabs that inhabited the area from the XI century to the XIII one, left a cultural and archaeological important patrimony. The most important location is in the hillside of the castle, Medina's city Siyâsa, where they have been numerous remains of architecture ornamental Arabic, arches finely decorations, ceramic policromada, glass and metal. An archaeological museum dedicated Medina almost entirely Siyasa in the street San Sebastian of Cieza exists.
