Zuriain, typical rural town of Esteribar.He/she appears already documented in 1090 as nickname locativo of a senior Lope Fortuñones.
It seems that it was a shared dominion village; their neighbors owed to the crown in 1427 an annual pecha of 23 salaries and 4 cahÃces and half of barley, and another so much to Santa MarÃa of Roncesvalles. This ecclesiastical establishment had bought (1334) those rents to Pedro Ruiz of Agorreta.
