Sant LluÃs town of islands canarias..Hyacinthe Gaétan of Lannion was lieutenant general of the Real Armies and governor of the island, where he/she died October 2 from 1762 to the 43 years, being buried in Santa MarÃa's church, in Maó.
The French, nevertheless, they could not see completed their work, since the 1763 had to liberate the island to the Britons, by virtue of the Treaty of Paris. From their foundation Sant LluÃs had remained united administratively to Maó, except for the three constitutional periods of the XIX century. But he/she didn't go up to June of 1904, 7 during XIII Alfonso's reign that the Provincial Delegation took the agreement of segregating the town of Sant LluÃs and its villages. Two months later, August of 1904, 7 were constituted the new city council and era chosen mayor Pere TudurÃ.
