UNDER THE ROMAN EMPIRE:
In this time the town didn't exist like such, but rather it was rather about a traffic area, a point in the one on the way to those who went toward City Rodrigo or to Peña from France.
Of this period Boadilla conserves some currencies found in its suburbs and maybe some rest toponÃmico like that of the "Valley of the Soldiers."
As for the origin of the name, the accepted explanation is the one that locates it in the Arab time and it defends that the name comes from "Boada", word that defined a low "place with water in those years where the oxen" graze.
XII CENTURY:
After a long period of hole of historical data, it is now in the Half Age when a track arises to come closer more to the origins of our town again: the first written document appears in a records referred to Boadilla.
It is of January 14 1172 and in him the first reference written on our town through the expression "Tavern of Boadilla" appears.
