| The old Room to Surrender dedicated to the Gothic stage, it welcomes four scale models of the current cathedral. Three of them present the covers of Sarmental, Coronería and Santa María. The most spectacular is a reproduction 1/50 of the architectural group that it allows a global unique vision, isolating the temple of the adjacent constructions that you/they hinder their view. Access to the Low Cloister of the Cathedral of Burgos that welcomes the Center of Interpretation of the mentioned monument.THE COMMITMENT of Box of Burgos with the historical-artistic patrimony could not overlook one of the bets of deeper soaked of the society burgalesa: the conservation, improves, study and diffusion of the Cathedral of Burgos, Patrimony of the Humanity.
In narrow and frank collaboration with the Archbishopric of Burgos and the cathedral Town council, Box of Burgos develops among the years 2001 and 2004 an integral intervention of character in the biggest ship that contemplated the restoration and cleaning of the incomparable dome in its interior part, the recovery of its spectacular windows, the performance in vaults and adornments, the cleaning and restoration of its magnificent rejería and of its bigger beautiful and characterized altarpiece. Performances that you/they manifest the special significance that has this commitment with the more emblemático of the monuments of the city for the Box of Burgos.

| Painting of Cid in the low cloister of the Cathedral of Burgos. He/she was born in unknown date by the middle of the XI century (among 1048 and 1050).[2] their birthplace is only pointed out by Singing of my Cid like Vivar of Cid, to 10 km of Burgos, although we lack other documental sources that ratify this. He/she was son of Diego Laínez, infanzón of Vivar, of the smallest nobility, frontier" captain in the fights between Navarrese and Castilian in the line of Ubierna.Atapuerca, and of Sancha or Teresa Rodríguez, daughter of Rodrigo Álvarez, of one of the first families of the county of Castile. Their remains were interred in the monastery burgalés of San Pedro of Cardeña. During Guerra of the Independence the French soldiers profaned their tomb. The remains were recovered and, in 1842, transferred to the chapel of the House Consistorial of Burgos. From 1921 Jimena rests together with those of its wife doña in a privileged location of the Cathedral of Burgos. |
