In a closed bend of this river he/she rises the promontory on which settles the town of Alarc贸n. With Iberian and Roman antecedents, this town enters in the history after being occupied by the Arabs to who it owes its name (alarc贸n = the strength) and the construction of the primitive castle of which derives the current one. The history of Alarc贸n is bound to that of its castle (to see: Castle of Alarc贸n) and he/she comes determined by their condition of fortified square. Nevertheless, it is not the castle the valuable only element of their monumental patrimony; it also has a varied architecture, so much nun (churches of Sacred Domingo of Silos, of Saint John the Baptist, Santa Trinidad, Santa Mar铆a of the Field, and the hermitage of Santa Mar铆a of the Order), as civil (the city council, the House of Villena and the palace of Casta帽eda).Villa of Alarc贸n is declared Historical Artistic Group, there being you approved the Delimitation of the Environment July 3 of 1981. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alarc%C3%B3n |

Motilla of Palancar is a municipality of the county of Cuenca. It is in the left riverside of J煤car, in the head of the swamp of Alarc贸n.Their urban helmet is modern with buildings that in general don't overcome the three heights. Their main street is the national one III (although from the construction of the railcar it hardly supports traffic), crossed down the street main, the Avenue of Riato, where we find the sport-cultural area, the Public School San Gil Abbot; the house of the culture where the municipal library, the theater, rooms of exhibitions and the old machinery of the clock of the church is of 1921. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motilla_del_Palancar |

Chumillas is a small town of the county of Cuenca (Spain). It counts with less than 20 inhabitants in winter (INE 2005), being able to arrive at the 200 in summer.Still continuous the tradition of the mataz贸n, although nowadays there is not nobody that raises pigs neither the mat茅, but they are continued making the riqu铆simos sausages and puddings characteristic of the earth. Their more important monuments are Torrej贸n (or The Tower) and The Church. It is said that The Tower is one of the eight villages that formerly existed and in the one that the town of Chumillas settled down. From the 2005 bill with an eolic park located in their term that provides him/her halfway a future vision between the old thing and the modern thing. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chumillas |

Gothic Colegiata of the XV century: built on a Visigothic previous church. It highlights the seat of the choir, of the XV century, carved with biblical histories by Enrique Egas and coming from the Cathedral of Cuenca (of where it was brought in the XVIII century, when in the cathedral they changed it); it is the first choir seat carved with images of the whole Iberian peninsula. Pos茅e an organ of the XVIII century still used for some celebrations and concerts of sacred music. In the baptismal pile Brother was baptized Luis from Le贸n. Some altarpieces of the XVI and XVII are interesting. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belmonte_%28Cuenca%29 |
