Pedraza of Campos is a town located some 19 kms of Palencia, in the community of Castile and Le贸n, Spain. He/she has about 146 inhabitants and it is to an altitude of 750 m The church of San Cipriano, of the XVI century, it is rom谩nica and it possesses three ships separated by pillars. The cover on the side of the epistle is of principles of the XVIII century. In the interior they highlight the altarpieces of the XVI and XVIII centuries.

Neighborhoods Garc铆a supposes that it can come from the term Mozarabic "moriel" that also gives name to other towns of Salamanca, 脕vila, and Segovia. Therefore, he/she would be related with the name of a noble possessor of the town, called Maurellus, derived this of Maurus that "inhabitant from Mauritania means or Moorish." With the name of "Villa Maurelli" appears designated for the first time in a reinforcement of the Cathedral of Le贸n. In the documents he/she is named as Villa Morel and in the Calf of Behetr铆as like Villamoriel. Historically, to Villamuriel it is given to know when the bishops of Palencia had to be able to storm in the city, extending it to l territories of bordering realengo with Palencia.
