Hercules' Tower is a tower and lighthouse located in the peninsula of the city of Coruña, in Spain. He/she has the privilege of being the Roman only lighthouse and the oldest in operation of the world. There are several legends related with their construction. One of them bill that Hercules arrived in boat to the costs that surround the Tower at the moment, and that it was the place precisely there where it buried the head of giant Gerión, after conquering him/her in combat. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torre_de_H%C3%A9rcules |

San Carlos' Garden was construÃdo like defensive castle outside of the walls in the XIV century and it would be together to the city in the XVI one. Little by little it was losing importance like rampart or old" "Strength and, after the gunpowder that contained, exploding it was abandoned until already in the XVIII century it is recovered as garden by don Carlos F. of Croix. The current aspect of San Carlos' Garden owes to the governor Francisco of Mazarredo in 1834 and it presents a characteristic of romantic garden. Historical artistic group has been declared next to the walls. Author Marcus http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jard%C3% ... rlos_%28La_Coru%C3%B1a%29 |
