Zalla is a municipality of the district of Encartaciones (Biscay, Basque country, Spain) inside the Valley of Salcedo, distando 24 Km. of Bilbao address crossed west for the waters of the river Cadagua. Summits that form their valley highlight as: Artegi, the Cabin, Basoaga, Espaldaseca, Rioya and Ilso. Zalla limits to the north with the municipality of Sopuerta; to the west with Sopuerta and Balmaseda; to the south with the Valley of Ore (Burgos); to the south-this with Gordexola and to the east with the municipality of Güeñes.Although not this mated with any other town, it exists a town that takes the same name in the Department of Corsica of the South (France), in the municipality of Sarrola-Carcopino, near Ajaccio, capital of the island of Corsica.

The anteiglesia of Zaldua, today ZaldÃvar, belonged to Merindad of Durango and it was part, with voice and vote, in the Meetings of Guerendiaga where it occupied the seat number 7.Como are normal in the anteiglasias, one doesn't have knowledge of their foundation. Valmaseda (in Basque and officially Balmaseda) is a municipality of the county of Biscay, Basque country. The very noble and very loyal village of Elorrio is a municipality of the county of Biscay, Basque country (Spain), belonging to the district of Duranguesado.This village was founded, in 1359 for XX Tello, Mr. of Biscay, in lands of the anteiglesia of San AgustÃn of Etxeberria that had seat and vote in the meetings of Guendiaga of Merindad of Durango. In 1630 the village of Elorrio annexes to the anteiglesia of San AgustÃn of Etxeberria for that that this it left the merindad and the current municipality of Elorrio was constituted. Elorrio had the seat number 13 in the Meetings of Guernica.Located in the end suroroeste of the historical territory of Biscay in the limit with Guipúzcoa and the most western part in the district of the duranguesado this located in the high part of the valley of Ibaizábal. It is located under the mount Udalaitz (1.092 m.) and their lands, those of San AgustÃn's old anteiglesia, extend for the adjacent mounts toward Guipúzcoa.

He/she is the last population of the county Biscay, before entering in The very noble and loyal village of Ermua it is a municipality of the county of Biscay, Basque country (Spain), belonging to the district of the duranguesado.He/she is the last population of the county Biscay, before entering in Guipúzcoa for the oriental part of this. Such a próximidad situation, and the fact of belonging to the basin of the river geographically Deva, he/she makes that this town is included, to many effects, in the District of the First floor Deva, next to other municipalities guipuzcoanos. With the neighboring city of Éibar oneself forms urban plot. Ermua grew in the years 60 and 70 to its neighbor's shade and it worked like a city bedroom of this.EtimologÃcamente the name of Ermua that up to 1805 Hermua was written can come from Emuas that means area or border tereno, er (laugh) territory or land and muga, limit, frontier.
