| The most splendid construction in C贸rdoba, the Great Mosque, it was taken charge by the emir 'Abd ar-Rahma谩n I in the year 785, after having chosen C贸rdoba like capital of the caliphate. It was built in the land of San Vicente's church whose foundations were discovered when being made excavations inside the mosque in the decade of 1930. Toward the 785 the construction of the mosque began whose situation in the vicinities of Guadalquivir, at the end of the old bridge (restored today) not only took advantage already of the nets of communications existent, but rather he/she gave testimony of the respect for the Visigothic inheritance of the city. |

| The Virgin of the Streetlights is Julio's work Romero of Torres painted in 1928 by responsibility of the City council. It is located in the exterior of the north wall of the Patio of the Orange trees, next to the Door of the Pardon. The appellative of the Streetlights comes him/her from those that illuminate it and they adorn the external grill that protects the canvas. He/she settled, solemnly, the day of Asunci贸n of 1928. At the present time a copy is exhibited carried out by its son Rafael and the original is exposed in the museum of C贸rdoba. |

| This back street that finishes in a small square, is an authentic mirror of the urban life in old C贸rdoba. When entering in her, the visitor has the stranger sensation of being transported in the time and, sometimes, of being in one of the white towns of this autonomous community. | The Red Horse is maybe internationally the most famous restaurant of capital given C贸rdoba his largu铆sima trajectory and his situation (their owner has had some prize to the quality and the investigation to rescue recipes andalus铆es). It is a wide local although the entrance is tiny, located beside the mosque, in a small corner.
