It possesses historical renowned importance in Majorca, due to the Aragonese king's landing Jaime I with the purpose of conquering the island in the year 1229. In their employer festivity, he/she takes place a battle in the beach, call, Moorish and Christian, commemorating this way the battle that Jaime liberated I against the Arabs September of 1229, 10 taken place in don's epic poem ĂĂ±igo LĂłpez of Mendoza, marquis of Santillana, Comedieta of Ponça and described by the historian Ibn Amira Al-Mahzumi in his Kitab Tarih Mayurqa.
