Casalarreina (Naharruri in Basque) is a population of the autonomous community of Rioja (Spain). It is located in the northwest of the county. It depends on the judicial party of Haro.Their old denomination was Naharruri or Nafarruri that it would come from Nafar, own name used in the Half Age and that when adding him/her the termination uri (that in Basque it means population or village) it would be translated as Villa of Nafar.It belonged to the Family Haro and according to some historians, the village was donated among other in 1170 by Aldonza Ruiz of Castro, widow of Lope DĂ­az I of Haro to the Monastery of Canes.
