Garafía is a municipality canary belonging to the county of Santa Cruz from Tenerife. It is located in the northwest of the island of The Palm. The municipal capital is denominated Sacred Domingo. Other important neighborhoods are Tricias, Juan Leader, Don Pedro, The Bush, San Antonio of the Mount and French.In their municipal term he/she is the Asleep of the Boys, higher point of the island with 2.426 meters where an important observatory astrophysicist belonging to IAC has been summoned.Traditionally it has been a town with communication problems and isolation, what has provoked development problems and a populational important descent. However this has preserved their rural and ecological character, that makes him to have a great potential for the rural tourism.
