The history of this devotion in Spain is united intimately to the history of the Islands Canaries and especially of the island of since Tenerife it was the place where it is said that he/she appeared. The original size was conserved in Candlemas' Basilica, in the municipality of Candlemas in Tenerife, but it disappeared after a storm that whipped the island.
