The ciutat està located to the marge dret of the riu Ebre, to the límit among the continental platform i the l'Ebre delta; of fet, the part located més to l'est of the ciutat is troba construïda it has more than enough aiguamolls. The municipal terme, the great més of the district of Montsià, limits to the nord amb the riu Ebre, to l'est amb Sant Jaume d'Enveja i amb the sea Mediterrani, to the south també amb the sea i amb that of Sant Carles of Ràpita i to l'oest amb els of Freginals, Masdenverge i Tortosa.
