Sant Joan of Montdarn és an església romànica of the municipal terme of Viver i Serrateix, consecrated l'any 922. Sembla that fins l'any 1017 hi haver goes a petita comunitat monàstica, i of llavors ençà és només parròquia.Of original l'església in it is ben poc: l'absis, amb arcs i franges llombardes, és típic of the romànic of the XI segle.
