Villanueva of the Serene one is a Spanish city located in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura in the county of Badajoz.
Located in the district of Las Vegas Discharges, to doors of the district of The Serene one and scarce 5 Km of the neighbor Don Benito, he/she has given place together with this a new urban mass of revelancia in the whole region, forming an agricultural, industrial center and of services with a great influence so much at regional level as regional. In 1303 the nucleus was given by Fernando IV to the Order of Alcántara for its repopulation, under the name of Aldeanueva of Homes. In 1423 it reached the range of Villa. In 1.504 settled in her the Priorate of the Order transferred from Magacela.
