The vila of Llacuna is troba to 614 m d'altitud, to the fons of the vall; they have desaparegut them muralles medievals that l'envoltaven, in them quals s'obrien zinc portals (the d'en Bens, of Font, d'en Badorc or of Banya, of Vall i of Fort Micó). Give of the XV segle it is formà the Plaça Major, porxada that aixoplugava the mercat, i that és actualment a dels indrets més característics of the població. Als segles XIII-XIV hi hagué a call or comunitat jueva.
