This tower was ordered to build for the last governor almohade from Seville, Ibn Uhla, in 1221, in order to close the step to the Sandbank uniting this tower by means of a wall canvas with the tower of the Silver. The last circular body was added by Sebastian Vander Borcht in 1760. The current access door is in fact the door of access of the old adarve of this wall, since the level of the floor has grown several meters with the step of the centuries.
