Historical monument of the city of Paternal, in the county of Valencia, Spain.It is the monument more emblemático of this Valencian town. It is located in the Urban Park of the Tower and Palacio pierced among the caves of the Tower, housings dug in the land that you/they date of final of the XVIII century and principles of the XIX one.The origin of its construction is ignored, but it is thought that it was built in Arab time, as the population's defensive system.
In 1971 historical artistic Monument of character local was declared.The Tower of Paternal has a form lightly troncocónica, with a height of 19,5 m, and an inferior diameter of 12,70 m and superior of 9,60 m. It consists of three plants and a terrace from where one has a panoramic view of the Vegetable garden of Valencia. The ground floor that is round, was a reservoir. The second plant is squared and it is on the one that the access door is located to the exterior to which you consents through a stairway that skirts the external wall. The last plant is octogonal and he/she gives access to the terrace through the interior stairway, with brick steps to head.
