A good king, Carlos III of nickname "the Nobleman", changed the physiognomy of Olite deeply with his decision to enlarge the old (current Inn of Tourism) castle that his predecessors had inhabited. So much expert of the French palaces as of the Castilians, it sponsored a singular construction and of such a fame outside of the frontiers of the old Kingdom that a German traveler of the XV century ended up exclaiming when knowing it: I am "sure that there is not king that has palace neither more beautiful castle, of golden more rooms... it could not imagine how magnificent and magnificent he/she is this Palacio"
