Teide in spring.The National Park of Teide occupies the highest area in the island of Tenerife (Canaries, Spain). Declared in 1954 as National Park of Teide, [1] it is the biggest and older in the national parks of the Islands Canaries. In 1981 the park was reclassified and he/she settled down a juridical special régime. In 1989, the Council of Europe granted to the national park the European Diploma, in its maximum category.
