The Square of the Sliding one is one of the places more emblemáticos of the city of Córdoba. Square only bigger square of Andalusia. Located in downtown, to the slope of the Street Rodríguez Marín or Espartería. He/she has their entrance and exit through the calls High Arch and Low Arch. It is built on what went until s. XV a great esplanade of outside of Cordovan Medina where muleteers met, chamarileros, and it was used for occasional celebrations of bullfights and cane games by what came him/her their later name of Square of the Sliding one, an enclosure closed model of the bigger Castilian squares it was urbanized, inside the Baroque aesthetic urbanística whose main accesses occupy the vertexes of the rectangle. It was jail and corregidor's house, as well as an important factory of hats in s. XIX, and then a market. Today it continues housing the market and other municipal dependences.
