In front of this door the statue of Velázquez is located, it works of the sculptor Marine Aniceto. The pedestal belongs to Vicente Lampérez. He/she has a dedication: The Spanish artists, for initiative of the Circle of Fine arts 1899. This monument was inaugurated the day June of that same year 14 with the Queen's presence he/she Governs and of XIII Alfonso.
