The street of Bisbe (bisbe in Castilian is a bishop) was the main artery of the Roman old city. This street continues being one of the big roads of Gothic Barcelona, and at the moment it unites the Plaça Nova and the Plaça of Sant Jaume, two neuralgic centers of the count city. One of the biggest (the bishop's bridge) attractions in the street is the presence of "Pont of the bisbe." During the dictatorship of Miguel Cousin of Rivera, at the end of the years 20, this neo-Gothic bridge was built to unite Palacio of Generalitat with the "house dels Canonges", official residence of the President. The "pont of the bisbe" is one of the photographed corners in Barcelona.
